How It's Made

This beautiful bowl is hand crafted with care by Scott. The process starts by gathering molten glass onto a metal rod. The desired colors are added to the glass and they are melted together. Next, the molten glass is carefully rolled through the cremains to incorporate them into the memorial. A final layer of glass is then added safely encasing the cremains. The glass is then shaped into a bowl using only a wet newspaper between Scott’s hand and the glass. Lastly the piece is placed in an annealer to cool down slowly overnight before it finds its way to its loving home.
